The use of modern technology has totally revolutionised design within the engineering industry. BIZ, with its continued investment in this area, remains at the forefront in the use of this technology. Our experienced in house design team allows us to take a concept from a client brief through initial creative ideas to batch production. We are more than happy to meet on or off site to discuss your needs.

Do you have existing computer-aided design (CAD) data or conventional drawings? We have the ability and are happy to work with various types of design data. BIZ uses the latest Solidworks 3D modelling package and techniques and 2D CAD packages, along with Adobe art-working packages. This allows us to supply everything from conceptual visuals, full engineering drawings, CAD data to prototyping and batch production.

BIZ is able to utilise our experience in both design & fabrication to offer assistance with a variety of design & development problems. The use of 3D & 2D CAD facilitates cost cutting at the prototype stage of manufacture, allowing BIZ to build and test parts on screen before any steel is cut. Full assemblies are built on screen without finding it does not fit in reality, resulting in significant cost savings for our customers.

BIZ has focused on producing projects to a tight client cost through value engineering. We use our industry experience to program and produce metalwork using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) to control punching, laser cutting machinery and bending machinery. Our skilled metalworkers can take your designs from the screen and into reality, Cutting and sculpting everything from Copper and Aluminium to Coated Steels. We are not constrained to metal parts; BIZ can cut a variety of plastics including Acrylic, Styrene and High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), at wide ranging thicknesses using our in house CNC router. All of these techniques aid us in producing designs in any substrate that would suit your needs.
